Haha, I like this thread. I was not here for a long time (Almost a year), but still no new Rank System. :D

I still like the idea of using navy ranks. Stripes. Basic. 1. 2. 3. etc. Easy to understand. Know almost everywhere on the world.

Mostly the same in switzerland. If no officer is present, the enlisted people and lower NCO have very creative ways to name officers by the rank... they call a Leutnant "Löfti" oder "Lolli". A Leutnant has no problem with "Löfti", when people from his own platoon (Zug) ...

A couple of years ago I tryed to make some new rank badges for the swiss army, just for fun. I had (and have...) no expirence with graphic programmes and just used the old MS Paint for that. The idea was to make ranks for wearing in front of the body, over the breast. Maybe with some magnet system. ...

Navy Ranks, because the are international used, easy to understand and well known:

Staff officers (Maj - Col)
Higher staff officers (Br - Gen)
