As far as I know most illustrations are originaly made in Corel Draw (so it's vector graphics) and then converted to jpg or gif. At least Pavel, and Magnum (Mariusz) are using Corel.

Definitely someone has updated the website.
It works automatically. Some time ago I corrected the typographic error on one of the Polish pages and it was immiedietly brought in front on the "updates" page.

As I can see there are different approaches to the rank system - especially in the NCO/WO region.
