Re: Alternate French National Police

Excellent! See below a rank always omitted from the rank charts: Directeur général de la police nationale.

Re: My story ranks and uniforms.

Nice idea! Yet I think that there are way to many ranks for a "scientific military organization". One would think that a minimum entry requirement would be a B.Sc.; hence a commissioned first rank. Cf. NOAA Corps and USPHS. If the scientists need any assistants, they might make up one or t...

Pdf question

These days, when I open a PDF file, I cannot see its address, so it is impossible to make a link that I can post.

Anyone knows how to do that?

Re: Equivalent of Five Star General in Other Countries

In Sweden, we have only one active four star general, who is the Supreme Commander of the Swedish Armed Forces. Although, during the period 2009-2012, when General Håkan Syrén was chairman of the European Union Military Committee, we had two active Swedish four-star generals.

Re: Equivalent of Five Star General in Other Countries

Re: Equivalent of Five Star General in Other Countries

I do not believe the armed forces of El Salvador are big enough to warrant anything but two general officers ranks.

In the American Civil War, Major Generals commanded US divisions, corps and field armies. Even McClellan as general-in-chief was only a Major General.
