I noticed several mistakes on the pages ralating to the Finnish Defence Forces as it is officially in Finland known. Before WWII Finland had an Army but after the war it was changed to The Finnish Defence Forces.
Nowdays the Anti-Aircraft Artillery is better known as Air Defence since also missiles are also used. Generals in Finland if they wear collar patches wear those of the General Staff regardless of their service branch unless they serve or have served in the Air Force or retired and therfore they may have the older uniform in use. A good exalple is the late Infantry General Adolf Ehnroth. I will answer any questions referring to the subject as I know somthing and I have several friends working fulltime in the Defence Forces. Where should I send additional details? I know how the ranks of the Finnish Frontier Guard are arranged.

Finnish Frontier Guard does not anymore use the army or navy uniform, but they have their own greenish uniform also different in cut/style than the traditional m/65-style (british style short field blouse). So no collar badges anymore in normal duty dress. Ranks in shoulder boards (shirt) or sleeves (field blouse, overalls, windbrakers).

The old Coastal Guard personel is still using navy ranks (on shoulder boards gold lace, but there is also thin orange line as it is the piping colour of FGs). The personel with army style rank are still using army rank markings (rosettes in most cases) on dark green shoulderboards - again with that thin orange line. On sleeves it is allways gold lace.

That was for officers - there are now three enlisted ranks - junior frontier/coastal guard, senior frontier/coastal guard, leading frontier/coastal guard. Rank bagdes for these are from 1 to 3 horizontal short thin lines - on shoulders or sleeves - orange for frontier guards and blue for coastal guards. The only warrant rank - Master Frontier/Coastal guard has four horizontal pieces of cold lace (6 x 35 mm) on top of the thin orange line also used by the officers.
