See, that's exactly my problem -- too police.
State security more like armed enforces, special forces, and intelligence in one. Interesting, if take let say state security of Germany or Russia, or even former Socialist bloc, their ranks are the same as military. Here is the situation, imagine, a future, supposedly a generic democratic state, but to power came a dictator, however, since democracy could not repealed so easily, this leader camouflaged under different pretexts -- National Emergency Extension Acts and so on. As the result, state security service created that would "protect" country from enemies foreign and domestic, but due to democracy, again, this service sort had to look benign, therefore, created a civilian type agency but with paramilitary structure and own – “armed wings.” So, I am looking for a table of generic ranks in system 7 – Agent-NCO level, typical 6 officers, and 4 Generals. Because of this, ranks like – Inspector, Intendant, Constables, Commissioners, and Chiefs, are not suitable.

Thank you again, Zibster.

Hi Zibster!

You wrote: "... a civilian type agency but with paramilitary structure and own armed wings ....”

Shall there be two different rank structures (one for the armed wings and one for the rest)? And is it correct that the rank names shall NOT be to military-like or did I misunderstand that?

Anyway I again try a suggestion (a modification of my previous one):

7 NCOs:
Probationary Agent
Field Agent 2nd Class
Field Agent 1st Class
Senior Field Agent
Leading Agent 2nd Class
Leading Agent 1st Class
Senior Leading Agent

6 Officers:
Field Commander 2nd Class
Field Commander 1st Class
Senior Field Commander
Troop Commander 2nd Class
Troop Commander 1st Class
Senior Troop Commander

4 Generals:
Security Administrator 2nd Class
Security Administrator 1st Class
Senior Security Administrator
Administrator General of State Security

Cool Erskine, but that more or less good for Corporate Security Forces. Otherwise, thanx to everybody for responding so far!
What I come out with for now:

SA-1. Probationary Agent
SA-2. Agent
SA-3. Senior Agent
SA-4. Field Agent
SA-5. Primary Agent
SA-6. Agent in Charge

SO-1. Assistant Officer
SO-2. Service Officer
SO-3. Chief Officer
SO-4. Assistant Commander
SO-5. Commander
SO-6. Controller

SD-1. Adviser
SD-2. Assistant Director
SD-3. Senior Assistant Director
SD-4. Director
(SD-5. Commander Director of the State Security)

So, people what do you think. Note: Abbreviations such SA– Service Agent, SO – Service Officers, SD – Service Directors. Here I try to create genderless, generic state security forces.

Thax again, Zibsterino

There some examples of the Armed branch of the Security Forces:

Note, since those troops very close to the regular army soldiers, the investigative and incarceration branches have somewhat different titles.

Something inspired from the new BSG: Colonial Security Service:

Here I imagine how the Own Presidential Convoy would look like, uniformed division:
