Italian rank insignia

hello, i noticed on this site , that you do not have the rank insignia from the Italian army during world war two.
I have found pictures of those rank insignia
in an older book ( from the mid 1980-ties).
Also i found a document on another site via Google.
These ranks have two marshall ranks, 5 general ranks, an extra senior colonel and senior captain rank.
I would send it to you , but i have no idea if there is still any copyright on that book.
I thought i mentioned it to you.
Thanks.
Tiaan from Belgium.

Marshal

King Victor Emmanuel III along with Mussolini became 'First Marshal of the Empire' after the conquest of ethiopia, hence two ranks of Marshal.
General's ranks refered to the unit he commanded, the extra Generals ranks were brevet, for offices of lower grade commanding a unit.
The MVSN were even more complex with all of the sub-groups and titles there-in.
Ranks like Commandante dei giovani fascisti; Capo servizio del commando generale; Capo sezione educazione; Fiduciario ginnico sportivo del commando and so on. If you don’t read or speak Italian, it’s a right royal pain trying to translate each group.

Italian

Yes you are right, it was just intended as a guide to show the rank system. the system hasn't changed that much.
WWII you had.
First Marshal of the Empire
Marshal of Italy
General of Army
General [ in command of army]
General of Army Corps
General of Division
General of Brigade
Generals of army services who did not command field units had titles like Lt General.
other officer ranks included 1st Captain [primo capitano] and 1st lieutenant [primo tenente].
I don't have a chart made, I could do one, or if you want a couple of scans just ask.
regards
