U.S. Navy Warrant Officer (WO-1)---Line Officer

Hi Everyone!

Presented here is my illustration of another type of rank/specialty insignia for a United States Navy Warrant Officer (WO-1), who is assigned as a Line Officer.

Very interesting Chuck! Currently, what is the role of Warrant Officers in the US Navy?

I read somewhere that the the US Navy is bringing back the WO1 - I wonder if this would be for the recently instituted flying WO in the Navy where enlisted personnel are currently commissioned as CW2s.

On another note, from 2011 Army WO1s will be commissioned by the President but this won't apply to US Marine WO1s who will continue to be appointed by Warrant.
