Corrections - What makes sense

If possible, would it make sense to a central place for corrections or perhaps per geographic area corrections.

And could we have an instruction or “sticky topic” on what or how to provide information.
i.e. what makes it easy for editors/ administrators to correct

I guess what I am thinking is this, we all see things, that need correction, spelling, rank, context, additions, removals, etc.

We all need a format or place to put this that would make it easy to find for the editors/administrators/correctors and also for us to make sure we are heard. This would useful and could keep corrections on topic.

Maybe we could also define. “Should we comment on everything we see wrong in one post or by topic.” What make it easy to get things corrected faster by the Admin/editors.

Do we need a little backup (as this site grows and it will). Right now we have a very small cadre of people who seem very diligent about correctness, that will not always be the case,)
“this website shows what I am talking about”
“look it’s a topic I know so trust me”
“please check on this, I think it has changed”

Food for thought

Corrections

Hi Robb herrwiggly here, I wholeheartedly agree with you. I have a concern that if mistakes are pointed out and not acted upon, the diligent members may lose interest in two ways, 1. not bothering to point out any errors, 2. and/or just dissapear. I think for that to happen would be a great shame and a loss to the forum. Hopefully the Administrators will look and listen and then act. :D :D :D Cheers.

Hear! Hear! An the sooner, the better!
Also, if I may add, perhaps - if possible - it would be better to do something more, namely to appoint a moderator for each forum and a sub-administrator for each continent, so that action could be taken diligently.

Hi All !!

Well, there is also something what I would like to point.

I think, that for the accuracy of this website, that sources are to be quoted. Although It is easy to find the rank insignia of such countries as USA, UK, Spain, Belgium, or even Estonia, Latvia etc... elsewhere, for others, like Kosovo, Chechenia, Montenegro... I will be very happy if I could know where someone found that, in other terms, how one can say "it is like that"..

I believe that sources of information are to be classified :

The Top, the official ones : Better : A official uniforms regulation ; lesser : official publication.

After ; all the rest : Foreign Intelligence Production ( I'm pretty sure, and this is my own opinion, that most of the artwork presented here is so, because, I frankly don't how to obtain that elsewhere ), more or less accurate ( For example, Etiopia, I saw a major : it was not strictly as depicted here, but that doesn't imply that this plate has never been correct any time ), the very lesser are ; the testimony and the "self-reconstruction attempt" , from one photograph, for example ( Have you ever heard of the " It is probably like that " ?? )

Ok, Ok... "Something" is better than "none"... But Please, Please, from time to time, even if it's from an old photocopy of photocopy... from where it comes...

Olivier
