(off topic) people in asia

i've read that people are considered asian only if they live in southern,southeastern,or eastern asia. so how come people in the southwest,north,west, arent considered asians since they are in asia?

There are huge differences between Eastern and Western Asia in origin and culture, So Asian mostly refers to the Eastern people. Western Asia is usually called mideast together with Northern Africa.
