CHUCK: Thank you very much for presenting this information on the B.I.A. here, so little is known about the original people of North America except when we hear about a casino being created on a reservation. The only time we hear about Indian Law Enforcement is with Chuck Norris in WALKER, TEXAS RANGER which seems to present an even picture of them in his old t.v. series. Thanks, Chuck! Sarge Booker :)

Ive seen almost every episode of that show and I dont think BIA Police were ever present. Reservation police (Comanche tribe?) were in some episodes. The different reservation police forces are seperate from the BIA Police. Im also trying to get BIA Police rank insignia, but it is very hard to get, as they dont have a webite or contact info I can find.

CHRIS: ChrisWI as in State of Wisconsin? Was born in Wauwatosa in 1942 before Milwaukee turned it into a suburb. My mother's family were also located on the Menominee reservation in Shawano. Try writing letters to the tribes and ask them about getting pictures of their badges, worked for me in the past! I've usually had success in acquiring info and actual badges from military attaches, consulates, embassies, and even reservations by writing letters and asking; they will either ignor you, or they will either say yes or no, the odds are in your favour, Chris! I have found that as time passes since 9/11, with all these rules and stuff that it is harder to get US law enforcement and fire-rescue rank insignia, most seem to ignore my requests. However, if they have a website, they usually have pics and I can get info from that lol.

USACops.com has contact adresses for many agenices, but only municipal police and county sheriff's, no info for state police/highway patrol, park rangers, Indian tribal police, federal agenices, etc

Since September 11th, 2001, paranoia has taken hold and now politicians say they'll protect us from our nightmares. I donated 50 sterling silver EOD badges to the LAPD and never heard from them, but then I had given them that gift just after 9/11. The police do not seem as friendly now and appear to be all business. bubocuco@aol.com (Rudy Basurto) is a former Federal Prison Service guard (Lompoc, California), you might ask Rudy if he knows how to acquire these elusive items, Chris? Thanks, Ill send him an email after school today, maybe he will have suggestions ... meanwhile I will be posting Athens-Clarke County, GA and some more US police rank insignia as well.

CHRIS: Great, one way to grow is to meet people who are interested in the same thing and then NETWORK! Writing letters and mailing them is another way to meet people as not everyone uses a computer, it is not easy for us over-60 crowd to do and some do not own a computer. Sarge Booker :)
