Desiging Uniforms and Rank Insignia in electronic media

This is pretty much for anyone--

Over the last couple of years I've developed several rank systems and notional military forces, but I've never been able to really represent them in electronic means. I'm looking to see if anyone has a recommendation for the kind of program I could use to make illustrations of rank insignia and uniforms on the computer. Any ideas?

And I use MS Visio and Micrografx Designer (sometimes because Visio does not allow aligning text to the curved line). The Polish cap insignias are made in VISIO. Of course it is quite expensive software (I use it in my work for electronics diagrams) but the NEWEST versions I think I saw in e-donkey system ;-)

Merry Christmas All,

My name is Mark Schendel and I have been using Coreldraw to create rank insignia images for years, many of them for Pavel and his website. I really find it the most powerful and flexible software for the job.

Hello! May be it is funny, but Autocad can be used, especially, when exact dimensions, angles should be drawn, But for colors it is better to use Corel Draw. It is my opinion.

I use Paint, but, from what I saw on Erskine's page, Powerpoint is better.

Erm, just one question. How exactly do you use Powerpoint for your rank insignia art?! I have not found any other use other than to make slide shows. Please help.
