To all our British friends, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the UK, and especially with those who are in London.
Grant rest O Lord to the souls of thy servants who have fallen asleep, and make their memory to be eternal. Amen

Hi fellow members, as the first brit to respond to your good wishes, many thanks for your support. As to London, what these terrorists fail to understand is, 60 years ago a chap across the channel tried to bomb London into submission on a daily basis for 6 years, he did not succeed and could never bomb Londoners into submission. His name was Hitler.
The more people are attacked the more their resolve to survive, I believe this of any nation. history has shown this time and time again. THEY WILL NOT AND SHALL NOT WIN. The British are by nature are slow to anger, but boy oh boy when their blood is up, watch out. As we say in the Military, "come out fighting"
Once again thanks for kind words. :) :) :) Cheers.

I would like to echo the feelings of the members who have posted and the people all over the world who feel the same way. my heart goes out to the friends and families who have lost loved ones. God forbid anyone should have to go through that kind of tragedy...be they white or black, christian or muslim. everyone must be treated with respect and dignity, having their human right upheld, where ever they are in the world.

at this sad time, i would like to urge everyone to treat their fellow man with dignity and love and i truly hope that recent events never re-occur anywhere in the world. hate is a vicious cancer that eats away at us, hate will always destroy...it can never create.

RIP
god bless the dead.

I have noticed, that even through Norman Occupation, Blitzkrieg, and the London Bombings, nothing can shake the will of the British. This is an admirable quality, but, to our demise, some have fallen in the wake of this flow of events. I am sure we would all like to help out in this event, as only four years ago, something catastrophic had happened to the US.

I too would like to express my condolences for those lost, and best wishes for the injured and their families. The British people have withstood far worse, and I admire them for it.

I also give my deepest condolences to the bombing victims, their families, and the city of London. You can count on support from Canada, we will stand side by side in this war on terror. Just like the old days.

We'd expect nothing less from the British, my friend. I want you to know that the hearts and prayers of the American people were with you, our British Brothers and Sisters on that dreadful day and will continue to be with you, just like our British brothers and sister were with us on 9-11, when the hearts and prayers of or British kin were with us. We took comfort in your support then and we hope that the our prayers and support will will provide the same for you.

I distinctly remember that shortly after Sept 11, the Queen gave an unprecedented command to the royal palace guards that they were to play "The Star Spangeled Banner" at the changing of the guard, an obvios deviation from the tradition and hundreds of years of history that has always been "God Save the Queen/King". I am not one to shed tears lightly, but witnessing that heartfelt display of love and support, was more than I could bear along with the rest of us who had watched and witnessed that. Even more impressive was the hundreds and thousands of your countrymen - and womenm who came to te US Embassy with flower in hand and tear in eye. I will NEVER forget that and I will telll this to story to my children and grandchildren.

And that brings me to my my final point, at exactly 8:50 British time July 16, 2005, one week after the TERROIST attacks on the British people, I went out to the commons, with my big, beautiful, British flag, and statred playing "God Save The Queen" on my bagpipes. I am not an expert on the bagpipes by any means, but I can get by and I did my best. The few people who hapened to be out on the streets at 3 in the morning stopped and asked me if how they could help and tried to give me money for the British rebuilding effort. Often time the worst of of brings out the best in us. My faith in humanity has once again been restored. We are of one mind now and we will never let those who would, could and do kill innocent men, women and children to win. I hope that peace will prevail and ask for it, along with the comfort and support of those who have lost so much, in my prayers. I lnw my family does the same.

God Bless England
God Bless the UK
God Save The Queen

PS. Please forgive my spelling, although it seems I might be literate, this is due to the darkness (3:10 a.m.) and me typing without my contacts or glasses.

By the way, where would we send financial contributions? Also, I know that not enought people were hurt to constitue a "blood shortage" crisis, but alot of us over here on the other side of the pond would like to donate, both money or pounds as you pit it and blood as well. Do you have any information?

Some of these guys would be a lot better off losing a few pounds... American pounds that is.
