I want to start an international membership society/foundation about everything from collecting till general knowledge about menmade distingtion marks like:
insignia
uniforms
patches
orders
medals
helmets
etc.
Are you intrested to become a member of such an organisation?

Yours sincerely,

Sounds interesting, would I have to pay some sort of fee to join this organization or would it be free?

Dear future Hierarchy Society members,

I would be very glad if you advertise the start of a Hierarchy Society to friends on this and other forums so that I can see the intrest in this subject and the number of members?
Brief explanation about some terms:
What is Hierarchiology?
1/ The scientific study of hiërarchies, there development and structure (see The Peter Principle by Laurence Johnston PETER)
2/ The design of new insignia, structures, uniforms, etc (definition by me)
3/ A design that is never used in real world except for some testing stays defined as hierarchiology (definition by me).
What is Hierarchy?
1/ Everything that has to do with menmade distinction of rank and class and is used in the real world to distinguished people.

PS: From the Hierarchiology point of view Hierarchy is actually Hierarchiological Law and Hierarchiological History.
All insignia are given there power by laws and regulations.
Example: Why could you be punished for not saluting an higher ranking person if now law states that he is superior to you and you have to pay him respect and salute him.

Yours VERY sincerely,

Peter Meijlaers

Dear,

I decided to include a t-shirt (value about 10€) in the memberships fee.
I will call the society H-FORCE and I also develop a logo for it. The H-Force will be divided in 3 divisions with a different logodetail:
H-Agent for (former) law enforcement members
H-Soldiers for (former) military service men
H-Man and H-Woman for all the others.
I also have the intention to do an annual meeting or convention is members want this.
Yours sincerely,

Peter Meijlaers

Dear Chuck,

Sadly only 2 other people except myself of more than 400 did vote! But I will still start it? What would be in your opinion a fair membershipfee?
Yours sincerely,

Hi Peter!

I think that an annual membership fee of $10.00 (United States Dollars) or its equivalent in other nations' currency would be a fair amount to start with.

Perhaps you should consider having different classes of membership, for example, perhaps the first 10 people that join could be called Founding Members, and the next 20 or 30 people that join could be Charter Members, with Regular Memberships coming into effect after that.

People really interested in joining your organisation would want to see it succeed, and it would be in their best interests to pay the membership fee you ask for, and to help you keep the organisation running smoothly.
These are just suggestions, and I hope that they'll be of some help for you. See ya'!

Dear Pavel,

It is a fine idea you have but it is different from my intentiions. I try to united every collector, person with intrest in or knowledge about insignia, organisationstructures, awards, medals, gowns, uniforms, occupational medicine, organisation medicine, etc. Actually every menmade distinction, be if visible or invisible of the human race!
But I still wish you luck with boty uniforminsignia and WICU!
Yours sincerely,

Thanks for your answer Chuck. It gives me something to think about. I thought about a membershipfee of about 25 to 30 euro and include a t-shirt so that every member can promote the society and his membership in his neighbourhood. In England membership fees go from 30 Ł (45€ / 50$) till 150 Ł (225€ / 250 $) for corporate memberships.
Yours sincerely,

Peter Meijlaers

PS: Now I hope that Chris also give his opinion. 2 votes from administrators are counting for a lot more than 2.
