I noticed at the bottom of your site it said:
The information on this page may not be reproduced, republished or mirrored on another webpage or website without written permission from the editors.
Is it possible to get permission to use the graphics for Nazi Germany for a website I'm setting up?

Right now, I have the Heer ranks done, and uploaded to my website; but they're "Dead pages", they're not linked to by other pages in the site.

Here's the URL for that page.

Link

You can see how on the bottom I credit Pavel for the images.

Is this kind of use acceptable? smilies-08

It's a little late to ask that now don't you think? Wonder if Micheal is aware of his work being used. Did that come from the old "Deutsches Soldaten" site?

Better late than never

Better late than never I suppose,
If the pages are dead links and not for general viewing then there should be no real harm done if approval is not forthcoming.
It may be that Ryan just wished to show the intended layout to ensure that the author was properly acknowledged, and it was up to scratch.
It’s sometimes better to see what you are agreeing too.
After all Micheal's work would be getting a wider audience and greater recognition, with the added possibility of more members for the insignia forum [if properly linked].
Dont you agree that it can’t be all bad.

They're dead links right now; the wider internet is not aware of them except for this forum, and a not-widely known writer's discussion group where I used the camouflage "olive/bar" insignia to illustrate a concept I had for Star Wars Imperial Rank Insignia.

Yes he is. I contacted him over at Matrix Games' forum, where he's of course "Michael Dorosh", and he gave me his permission to republish a bunch of his old Deutsches Soldaten/Landser articles which I managed to recover through the Internet Archive.

One thing I realized right now, is that I could move the credit for the artwork up to the top of the webpage (nobody reads the bottom stuff anyway), and rearrange it so that Pavel's name is in big letters; and the link to Uniform Inisgnia is much more prominent.

Anyway; I can always change the artwork if I can't get Pavel's permission to something else; that's what the dead link is for; to get feedback before it's splashed all over the intardnaut.
