Venezuelan "Red Guard"

Hi Everyone!

Presented here are my illustrations of the Insignia of Rank worn by the officers, warrant officers and enlisted personnel of the Venezuelan Peoples' Revolutionary Guard Corps (also known as the Venezuelan "Red Guard".)

All insignia of rank are worn on collar patches.

The Venezuelan "Red Guard" is to be the sole military force of the nation, as well as being the nation's sole police force at all levels (national, regional, municipal and local), and will also serve as the nation's other emergency response services, (fire, emergency medical, etc.)

Other functions of the Venezuelan "Red Guard" include:
(1) Being the nation's "political police", to ensure:
[a] Loyalty of all party members through ongoing political education and discipline where necessary
Loyalty of all citizens to the party and the nation

(2) Security for all Venezuelan diplomatic facilities.
(3) Full cooperation (including sending troops) with other leftist governments, leftist insurgencies and leftist political movements.
(4) Full cooperation (including sending troops) with radical Islamic nations.

(This is all a work of fiction and in no way reflects my own political beliefs. I'm neither a leftist nor do I support totalitarianism in any way, shape or form.)

Interesting concept, I believe Chavez actually has something similar to this called the Popular Militia or something along those lines.

I would have liked to see more of a Latin American flavor when it comes to the actual insignia but still a good idea nonetheless especially with red being the color of "Chavezism".

For some reason I doubt Chav' will be using military nomenclature with the possible Guard. Of course it will follow a military pattern, but since we are, for the time being, unsure about the nomenclature of the ranks, we should stick to NATO codes on the issue.

On the issue, what nomenclature do you guys think will they use? Different grades of "leaders" or heads? Or will they disguise them with some more innocuous titles?
