U.S. NAVY Insignia of Rank (NEW Series)

Hi Everyone!

Presented here are my colour illustrations of the insignia of rank worn by officers, warrant officers and enlisted personnel of the U.S. Navy.

Enlisted insignia of rank is displayed without rating insignia (which will come in subsequent postings.) Enlisted rank insignia are worn on the left arm, midway between the shoulder and elbow. The rank insignia themselves are located on a rectangular patch, and are an integral part of the patch itself.

The are two (2) grades of E-1:
Seaman Recruit: (Used in Basic Training "Boot Camp" only!)
Seaman Basic: (This is the lowest regular enlisted rank.)

The insignia of rank for officers and warrant officers are on shoulder straps, with each showing the five-pointed gold star designating those who are Line Officers. (There are provisions for warrant officers to be Line Officers.)

Insignia depicting various specialities for officers and warrant officers will be displayed in subsequent postings.
